Stephanie Plum is so smart, so honest, consequently funny that her narrative charm could drive a documentary on termites. However this tough gal from Town, an unemployed discount lingerie buyer, consists of a a great deal more interesting story to inform: She must say that her Miata has been repossessed and that she's so poor for the time being the woman just drank her last bottle of beer to start your day. She is required to admit that her only chance from her present rut is her repugnant cousin Vinnie with his fantastic bail-bond business. She will admit that she blackmailed Vinnie into presenting her with a bail-bond recovery job worth $10,000 (to have a murder suspect), even though she doesn't own a gun and also has never apprehended somebody in her own life. And he or she has got to say that the guy she has to get, Joe Morelli, is identical creep who charmed away her teenage virginity at the rear of pastry case throughout Trenton bakery where she worked after school.

If that hard-luck story doesn't sound compelling enough, Stephanie's several unsuccessful attempts at pulling in Joe make a downright hilarious and suspenseful tale of murder and deceit. Along the way, several more outlandish (but unrelentingly real) characters join how it works, including Benito Ramirez, a champion boxer who seems to be following Stephanie Plum wherever she goes.

Janet Evanovich shares an authentic feel for the streets of Trenton in her own debut mystery (she developed her talents inside of a string of romance novels before creating Ms. Plum), and her tough, frank, and funny first-person narrator gives a winning mixture of vulgarity and sensitivity. Evanovich is certainly the best of a typical new voices to emerge throughout mystery field of your 1990s. Check Out One For Money at Amazon.

Well isn't this a wonderful, and funny story. Stephanie is having all kinds of financial issues; her car got repossessed, she had to sell her furniture and now needs a place to stay and a job. Enter, cousin Vinnie who owns a Bails Bondsman company. He hires her on a 10% commission basis and Stephanie's first assignment is to capture Joe Morelli, an ex-cop who is charged with murder. He also used to be a friend of Stephanie.

The author created a wonderful story, using likeable characters and a great deal of comedy. It's hilarious! A well-written and captivating book that anyone would enjoy. Brilliant. Congratulations to the author.
